The American Airlines AAdvantage program's Status Challenge is back with the Instant Status Pass!
How it Works:
Get instant AAdvantage status and start earning Loyalty Points by flying or earning eligible AAdvantage miles with program partners.
Loyalty Points earned during the first 4 months determine your status benefits for the following 4 months.
Maintain or upgrade your status by meeting Loyalty Point goals every 4 months.
Loyalty Point Goals:
10,000: AAdvantage Gold
25,000: AAdvantage Platinum
42,000: AAdvantage Platinum Pro
67,000: AAdvantage Executive Platinum
The Instant Status Pass is divided into three 4-month phases. You'll start as Platinum Pro for the first phase and need to earn 42,000 Loyalty Points in each phase to maintain your status and progress to the next phase.
Complete all three phases to extend your Platinum Pro status for an additional year. Please note: If you're currently enrolled in an Instant Status Pass promotion, you must complete it before starting a new one.

for existing account, your AAdvantage account must be at least 30 days old and must not have participated in any challenges within the last 3 years.
